Screen Facilities Scotland (SFS) is a member organisation of Facilities Companies lead by a Working Group and board of Directors. You would be the main point of contact for SFS reporting to the Directors and Working group; communicating directly with members and managing volunteers and other staff members. The post of Project Manager offers an exciting opportunity at the heart of Scotland’s Film and TV industry driving engagement with members, affiliates, potential clients and public bodies.

You will be at the forefront of helping to ensure that local companies are used where possible rather than suppliers from abroad. Role

First and foremost we are looking for someone who is inspired by what we do and by the talent of our members. We need a genuine passion for making a difference in our industry by:

  • Being the main point of contact for SFS, receiving and monitoring incoming enquiries via phone (redirected), email and through social networks
  • Maintaining and updating SFS documentation and all media asset and data management
  • Organising regular SFS meetings; co-ordinating diaries, booking rooms, and online
  • Hosting online meetings
  • Drafting meeting minutes and company reports
  • Preparing company accounts, invoicing, statement of accounts, purchasing, payments, credit control; review and submission of accounts to SFS accountant, VAT submissions, with support from the SFS Treasurer
  • Liaising with the wider membership on SFS issues and notifying them of external events/meetings of interestProducing of regular member and industry contact e-news
  • Creating and implementing member surveys, consultation and data gathering
  • Co-ordinating membership renewals; updating paperwork and issuing invoices
  • Organising SFS events; securing speakers & venues, collating guest lists, arranging catering and travel & accommodation if required
  • Working with stakeholders and partners to ensure SFS representation at various meetings and events
  • Sourcing partnership funding for events
  • Researching potential funding sources to benefit the wider SFS membership and to support the longevity of SFS
  • Representing SFS at exhibitions at industry events
  • Management of volunteers and other part time staff including social media manager
  • Assisting with various tasks leading up to our online Expo Vision Scotland

We value a Project Manager with a proven track record of driving projects forward to deliver results and a passion for their work, so if this is you but you lack some specific skills above training can be arranged for any specific gaps. We do a lot with a little so the following skills are desired:

  • Graphic design and SFS promotional material creation
  • SFS event photography
  • Maintain and develop the SFS website using WordPress, including jobs and the private members forum
