OPPORTUNITIES: Industry events with EIFF 2017

News from our chums at EIFF:

EIFF Industry Events

(Thursday 22nd – Friday 30th June. All passholders welcome. Organisations welcome to get involved – industry@edfilmfest.org.uk)

Our Industry Events programme aims to arm filmmakers with skills and knowledge that will help them move forward in their careers. Through a programme of 121 advice sessions, panel discussions, ‘in person’ conversations and networking opportunities we support the development of both people and projects within an informal and welcoming environment. Events run through the main Festival dates and cater to all areas of the filmmaking process from funding and development through to distribution and exhibition.

Distribution Rewired (Mon 26th – Tues 27th June)

DISTRIBUTION REWIRED is as two-day series of events dedicated to developing communication and collaboration between filmmakers and film distribution professionals working with new/emerging distribution methods. Sitting within this two day event is a marketplace for pre-selected projects. We are looking for feature fiction and documentary projects which are at least in production and lend themselves to a more creative approach to distribution.

Applications for the Marketplace close 5th May.

Up to 10 projects will be selected, and each will present a short pitch including a trailer or film clips to invited Industry professionals with the aim of providing opportunities for projects to reach completion and be taken to international markets.
