David started Filming Scotland in 2006 when he saw a gap in the market in Scotland for a high end production service company that covered all media formats.

Having previously produced award winning commercials for The Gate Films as well as a background in TV/film production and location management, his experience was well placed to drive a new company forward.

Since then Filming Scotland has produced multiple international commercial campaigns using the stunning locations and talented crew located in Scotland. When Outlander came to shoot in Scotland Starz approached us to produce all their digital content, publicity and marketing materials and as a consequence of this we set up Scotland’s only dedicated EPK company ranchdigital.co.uk.

In addition we have also set up a studio space and edit facility in Edinburgh called Ranch Studio Scotland making Filming Scotland a one-stop-shop for production.

In 2018 FS started to produce and develop its slate of short and long form film projects.
